Lingua AI
Lingua AI Terms of Use
The rules for using Lingua AI, in addition to Apple's standard licence agreement.
Agreement
These terms govern your use of Lingua AI, provided by Ibrahim Akcay, independent app developer based in Türkiye, trading as WXW Labs. They supplement Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"), which applies to the app. If they conflict, the Standard EULA prevails for the licence of the app. By downloading or using the app you accept both.
Who can use the app
You may use the app if you can form a binding contract or, if you are a minor, with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules of the App Store, and on Android devices as permitted by the Google Play Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or distribute the app except where the law allows it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- harass, threaten or harm others, or share hateful, sexual, violent or otherwise objectionable content;
- interfere with the app or its servers, or try to access them without permission;
- use the app to build a competing product or to extract data with automated means.
AI features
AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or unexpected and is not professional advice (for example medical, legal or financial). Check important information yourself and use the output responsibly.
AI output can be wrong, incomplete or unnatural. Lingua AI is a travel and learning aid: do not rely on it for medical, legal, safety-critical or other high-stakes translations, and have important content checked by a qualified person. Speed depends on your device's memory and processor.
Purchases and subscriptions
The app is sold through the App Store at the price shown there.
Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies (reportaproblem.apple.com) and, for purchases made on Google Play, by Google under the Google Play refund policies. Subject to mandatory consumer law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content delivered immediately once delivery has begun with your consent (for consumers in Türkiye, Distance Contracts Regulation Art. 15(1)(ğ)).
Third-party services
The app may rely on services provided by others (listed in the privacy policy). Their terms may also apply to you; we are not responsible for them.
Intellectual property and feedback
The app, its design, text, graphics and software belong to us or our licensors. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
Availability, changes and termination
We work to keep the app available and useful, and we may change or discontinue features. You can stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties beyond those the law requires. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by your misuse of the app.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.
Terms required by Apple
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app; we are responsible for it.
- If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, which may refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance and consumer protection claims.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and resolving claims that the app infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app (for example your network provider's terms).
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws and the courts of your country of residence. Consumers in Türkiye may apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committees (Tüketici Hakem Heyetleri) within the monetary limits set each year, and otherwise to the Consumer Courts, under Law No. 6502. Before any formal step, please contact us: most issues are solved quickly through support.
General provisions
- Entire agreement. These terms, the privacy policy and the store terms that apply to your download form the whole agreement between you and us about the app.
- Severability. If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force and the invalid provision is replaced by a valid one that comes closest to its purpose.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a right immediately, we do not give it up.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer them to a successor that continues to provide the app, without reducing your rights.
- Force majeure. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, outages of networks or platform providers, or acts of authorities.
Built-in AI model and third-party components
Lingua AI includes a language model and software components from third parties, provided under their own licence terms. Those terms, including their acceptable-use rules, also apply to your use of the app's AI features. You may not extract, copy or redistribute the built-in model separately from the app, except as those licences allow.
Changes to these terms
We update this document when our apps or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app or on this website before it takes effect.
This document is published in English and Turkish. For users in Türkiye, the Turkish version prevails if the two differ.
